Abstract

The article discusses several mathematical topics which include the possibility of subdividing a rectangle into different squares, the arrangement formed when soap bubbles meet, and circles and spheres. The author offers a solution for determining the number of squares when subdividing a rectangle by using the analogy of subdivisions and networks of electrical resistors. Details related to the intermediate films formed when soap bubbles meet and the use of inversion in the spheres are explored.
