It states that Brodeur had served as research director of many commissions of inquiry including in Canada including Canadian Sentencing Commission, Montreal Community Police Service, and the Malouf Inquiries throughout his career. It mentions that the book "The Policing Web" represents the contribution of Brodeur to the study of policing.
