CONVERGENCE OF A BGK APPROXIMATION OF THE ISENTROPIC EULER EQUATIONS.

We consider a discrete kinetic approximation of the isentropic Euler equations, and establish the local convergence of the solutions of these relaxation systems to those of the hydrodynamic equations in the hyperbolic limit.
