ORIGAMI IN THE BRANCH.

Information on the proceedings of the joint branch meeting of the East Midlands branch of Association of Teachers of Mathematics (ATM) and Mathematical Association (MA) held at the University of Leicester in Leicester, England on March 5, 2011 is presented. The focus of the meeting was origami, a Japanese art of paper folding and its relation with mathematical ideas. The session presented by educationists Sue Pope and Tung Ken Len discussed how origami can support mathematical learning.
