Abstract
- The article discusses medical negligence that arise from failure in upholding suitable standard care. It describes the three-stage test for determining negligence, the medical duty of care and breach of duty when physician practice does not meet the proper standard or the "man on the Clapham omnibus." It also notes the fitness to practice General Medical Council procedures for doctors found guilty of criminal negligence, the prosecution and liabilities of doctors for medical negligence.
