Abstract
- The article presents a study which simulated the conditions in which Botrytis cinerea spores grow in controlled carbon dioxide-enriched atmospheres. The study evaluated the possibilities of predicting the shelf-life of a contaminated food product such as strawberry in such atmospheric conditions. The researchers analyzed the gas composition of the atmosphere. They studied the inhibitory effect of carbon dioxide concentration on colony fungal growth rate during storage.
