Abstract

The article discusses various cardiovascular medical conditions that are associated with sleep apnoea syndromes. The syndromes are categorized into three main disorders namely central sleep apnoea (CSA), Cheyne-Stokes respiration (CSR) and obstructive sleep apnoea. It says that these are also linked to enhanced coronary artery calcification as well as prevalence of myocardial infarctions.
