ZUKUNFTSPERSPEKTIVEN FÜR DEN ÖSTERREICHISCHEN BIBLIOTHEKENVERBUND -ANFORDERUNGEN AN EIN ZUKÜNFTIGES BIBLIOTHEKSSYSTEM AUS DER PERSPEKTIVE DER ÖSTERREICHISCHEN NATIONALBIBLIOTHEK, DER UNIVERSITÄTSBIBLIOTHEKEN, DER LANDESBIBLIOTHEKEN, DER BIBLIOTHEKEN DER PÄDAGOGISCHEN HOCHSCHULEN UND DER VERWALTUNGS- UND AMTSBIBLIOTHEKEN

The article focuses on the issues of the member libraries of the Österreichischer Bibliothekenverbund (OBV) Austrian library association, and on the changes in the the library automation system of the OBV. The article presents issues that Austrian libraries such as the National Library, the academic libraries, and the state libraries have had, and discusses the consequences associated with OBV member-libraries switching from the BIBOS 2 to the Aleph 500 library automation system in 1999.
