Abstract
- The article features China's first biomass electricity company China National Bio Energy Co. Ltd. (NBE) as it focuses on helping farmers while it strives to expand. It notes that NBE, deemed the world's biggest biomass power company, started building a biomass power plant in Henan Province in April 2011, aside from nine others under construction, and is scheduled for completion in July 2012. NBE Chairman Kai Johan Jiang claims that 60 yuan out of 100 used for production will buy farmers' straw while the ash from the power plant can be used as fertilizer.
