Abstract
- The article presents a criticism of the film "How It Feels to Be Run Over" by Cecil M. Hepworth, one of Britain's successful early filmmakers. It notes that the film utilized text rather than a talking movie giving the movie a feel or taste of strangeness or uniqueness unto it. It adds that with the use of text, moviegoers felt the energy moved outward toward the spectator rather than on the character-based narrative.
