Abstract

The article presents a study which reports population and subpopulation prevalence estimates of Chlamydia trachomatis (Ct) and correlates of infection among 15-33-year-olds in Baltimore, Maryland. The study uses the Monitoring STIs Survey Program (MSSP) which monitors sexually transmitted infection (STI) among probability samples of residents in the city. It is inferred that the MSSP has a higher Ct overall prevalence among young people in Baltimore than in the U.S.
