Abstract
- The article profiles professor Mikhail Vladimirovich Meerov, laboratory head at the Institute of Automation and Telemechanics of the USSR Academy of Sciences. He was born on August 15, 1911 in Ukraine and graduated from Kharkov Electrotechnical Institute. He was awarded with the A.A. Andronov Prize and published 12 monographs and over 200 research papers. In his pioneering works, optimal operation modes methods for boreholes were proposed, which provided for maximal total oil production.
