Abstract

The article offers information on the Sapium insigne (Royle) Benth tree which can be found at Shivalik hills in Himachal Pradesh, India. It states that the plant is locally known as Ainkhar or Balodhar and is commonly discarded with care by locals due to its poisonous latex. It adds that the Sapium insigne which has yellowish-green flowers from May to July, have latex containing ingenane, diphnane, and phorbol derivatives.
