Schisandra macrocarpa (Schisandraceae), a New Species from Yunnan Province, China.

The article discusses a study which described Schisandra macrocarpa, a species of subgenus Sphaerostema in Yunnan Province, China. Particular focus is given to the major clades found in Schisandraceae, including one composed of Schisandra species and another containing both Schisandra and Kadsura Kaempf. ex Juss. species. Results of the study showed that the new species has T type cuticular intrusions between the ends of guard cells.
