Abstract
- The article focuses on the comprehensive review of prospective head-to-head and placebo-controlled studies on the safety and efficacy of the second-generation antipsychotics (SGAs) in children and adolescents with psychotic and bipolar spectrum disorders. The study assessed the efficacy and safety data of 34 studies on SGAs. The study found that the efficacy between different SGAs and between SGAs and first- generation antipsychotics (FGAs) is similar to pediatric patients except for clozapine.
