Abstract
- The article discusses a study which examined the outcomes of technology-enhanced simulation training for health professions learners. Particular focus is given to the assessment of quality and abstracted information on learners, instructional design and outcomes. Results of the study showed a total of 609 eligible studies, of which 137 were randomized and 67 were non-randomized. Findings also revealed that pooled effect sizes were 1.20 for knowledge outcomes, 1.14 for time skills and 1.09 for process skills. The study also found no significant interactions between simulation training and instructional design features.
