Investigates the aldehyde oxidoreductase activity in Desulfovibrio alaskensis NCIMB 13491, a strain isolated from a soured oil reservoir in Purdu Bay, Alaska. Oxidation of aldehydes to carboxylic acid form; Reduction of protein with excess dithionite; Crystal structures of homologous enzymes.
