Abstract
- The article focuses on the plan of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to review and assess controversial chemicals or classes of substances, according to Wendy Cleland-Hamnett of the Office of Pollution Prevention & Toxics. A two-step process is being planned by the EPA for selecting priority chemicals. Proposals were given by representatives of the chemical industry and health advocacy groups on how the EPA should proceed with the selection process.
