Abstract: The article offers news briefs on the U.S. music industry. Pianist Fan-Ya Lin has won the first place in the Senior Division of the 2011 Aurora Symphony Orchestra (ASO) Youth Concerto Competition in Aurora, Colorado. The music school Walden School has been awarded the 2011 New Music Educator Award by the American Music Center (AMC). Hal Leonard Corp. has extended its rights for distribution of catalog of music book publisher Jawbone Press.
