Abstract
- An essay is presented on the claims made by Gregory Mitchell, John Monahan and Laurens Walker regarding the amicus brief offered by the American Sociological Association (ASA) on the Supreme Court case Dukes v. Wal-Mart Inc. They believe that the scientific validity of sociology must be examined in courts through the standards applied for other kinds of scientific experts. Also, they state that the brief explains the body of social science research on gender inequality in organizations.
