Creación de catálogos colectivos en línea.

In September 2001 the Union Catalogue of the Valencian Public Reading Network began to function. This article describes the entire management process that oversaw development and implementation of this online catalogue. The issue analysed included the initial proposal, IT systems requirements, merging of the catalogues, unifying library criteria and policies, new possibilities enabled by the co-operative endeavour, and improvements to user services.
