Abstract: Presents a study that compared the effectiveness of balloon angioplasty with stent replacement to surgical patch angioplasty for thrombosed upper arm hemodialysis grafts with stenotic lesions at the venous anastomosis. Analysis of the primary and secondary patency for both techniques; Comparison on the patency of the two techniques using Kaplan-Meier survival analysis; Assessment of the complication rates of the two techniques.
