Abstract

Reports on the reactions of bioterrorism experts in the U.S. to a preliminary report that a 1971 smallpox outbreak in Aralsk, Kazakhstan, was triggered by the Soviet Union's secret testing of a bioweapon at Vozrozhdeniye Island.
