Abstract
- In this article, the author examine early manifestos of poet Mário de Andrade, and his poetics. He mentions that Andrade's poetics or early manifestos should be read as assertions of a feigned authority which establish leadership quality within the modernist movement. Further the author mentions that Andrade uses religious motifs and language in his poetry.
