Abstract
- The article describes Manorbier Castle in Wales, which features 12th-13th-century architecture with little rebuilding other than a 16th-17th-century barn in the outer ward. The castle was occupied by the de Barri family from the 12th-14th centuries and was also used in the Civil War in the 1640s. Specific features of the castle include a gatehouse, a curtain wall, and a Norman hall.
