Abstract
- The author offers opinions on India. While acknowledging the country's strong rate of economic development, the author states that India remains a predominately poor country, particularly its rural population. Government rural land use laws are condemned. Demonstrations in Kashmir by its autonomy and independence movement's supporters are praised.
