Protection role for SDHI fungicides.

The article reports that protection of current actives is a good reason to consider switching to new SDHI fungicides in barley crops in Great Britain in spring 2011. It says that new SDHI fungicides contribute to rhynchosporium protection. According to plant pathologist Simon Oxley, the continual use of one active will break barley diseases although resistance to fungicides is generally less serious. Information on rhynchosporium as a major concern is also presented.
