Abstract

The article discusses the increase in farmland values that given rise to questions about the factors that affects farmland values higher. There are two fundamental drivers that generally influence the value of any capital asset, future earnings and the expected opporutnity of cost fund. The income capitalization formula which gives a straighforward approach to view the economic fundamentals of farmland values is also discussed in the article.
