- The article presents information on the presentation of "2011 David Cushing Prize-," to PhD student Gabriel Reygondeau for his paper "Water column stability and Calanus finmarchicus". Further it informs that the award is named in the memory of founding editor of the periodical "Journal of Plankton Research" and is awarded for the best paper by upcoming scientists. It also mentions a brief biography of Gabriel Reygondeau.
