Abstract

The article discusses the world's labor market, focusing on the degree to which the market is integrated in the beginning of 2012 as a result of globalization. The authors comment on the increase in technologies in developing countries and its relation to global labor markets. Topics include the decrease in the wage level disparity between developed and developing countries according to the International Labor Organization (ILO), the effect of labor migration on the world's wage convergence, and the increase in income and living standards in developing countries as a result of international labor integration.
