Abstract
- The article discusses a study that compares public quality reports offered by local sickness funds in relation to hospital mortality. A convenience sample of 78 original quality reports found on the Web were included in the study where 70 quality reports come from facilities of the private HELIOS hospital group. It indicates the need to distinguish between internal medicine tracers and surgical tracers to assess hospital care with mortality rates.
