Abstract
- The article presents a study which examined the role of retinol-binding protein 4 in obese patients with metabolic syndrome. The researchers evaluated the role of adipocytokine in the development of obesity-related insulin resistance and proatherogenic lipid profile. The study indicated that retinol-binding protein 4 is a potential marker of metabolic syndrome with limited prediction of proatherogenic risk among Asian Indians
