Abstract

There is, today, social pressure for a planning in someone's professional life, which is a product of the notion that a person can and should intervene with their professional trajectory. Society, none the less, values factors such as mobility and flexibility. In the career anchors concept, elements of reality determine patters of choice in the professional trajectory. However, the context of constant adjustments, development and changes suggests movement in the career. The theoretical assimilation of the boundaryless career concept permits the inclusion of the movement notion to the specter of the self-perception of the anchors' value. This article's goal is to present the results of a descriptive research in which the career anchors, from a group of administration graduates from a private university in São Paulo, were analyzed and to expand the research expansion. The effective Anchors, Life Style, with 22% of the checked options, Autonomy / Independence with 19%, Technical / Functional Skills with 19%, were quite surprising choices, regarding boundaryless careers.
