Abstract: In this letter, we consider ONU registration procedure in symmetrical 10Gb/s IEEE 802.3av networks. Through series of computer simulations we state the optimization guidelines that lead to the reduction of message collisions and the increase of link utilization. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
