West Midlands South Wales.

The article presents updates in the West Midlands South Wales Branch of the Institute of Horticulture (IoH). Branch Chairman Neil Cook was recently elected as a Fellow of the IoH. A visit was made in early July 2011 in Avondale Nursery at Baginton, a small retail nursery run by Brian Ellis and his wife that specialises in rare and unusual herbaceous, perennials and bamboos. A joint visit to D Southall and Sons and Creative Landscapes was made by the branch in early September.
