Abstract

The article focuses on a study done on five alcohol-dependent outpatients to evaluate the ethyl glucuronide immunoassay (EtG-I) urinalysis in detecting alcohol use. It states that urine-based immunoassays improve the detection of drug use when used with self-report. The study shows the effectiveness of EtG-I over breath tests in detecting self-reported drinking.
