Abstract

The article focuses on several books that delve into the crisis in Zimbabwe. Journalists have opted to inform people about the conditions in the country through books amid the campaign of President Robert Mugabe to suppress press freedom. Challenges in writing the books are mentioned, one is the notion created by Mugabe that Western journalists cannot write about the country. One published book about the country is "The Fear: Robert Mugabe and the Martyrdom of Zimbabwe," by Peter Godwin.
