SEC May Ticket Speeding Traders.

The article reports that the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) is seeking means of limiting the role of high-frequency electronic trading of securities in stock trading, including possibly charging fees for buy and sell order which are generated by computers and then canceled. SEC Chairman Mary Schapiro states that high-frequency trading has little to do with the fundamental market value of companies whose stock is being traded.
