Abstract

The article presents a study which examines the associations between respiratory health and poultry processing work of Latino men and women in North Carolina. It notes that the findings of the study reveal that poultry processing work may affect the normal functioning of lungs despite of the low prevalence of respiratory symptoms reported. One of the problems reported by these workers is asthma.
