Abstract
- The authors reflect on a study conducted by Badakhsh and colleagues which featured the rise in the rate of cesarean section (CS) in Tehran, Iran, which is higher than the recommendation of the World Health Organization (WHO). They mention the factors for inappropriate CS such as the diversity of demographic profiles and women's preferences. Moreover, the use of the RAND Appropriateness Method (RAM) in the study is discussed.
