Vom Ende des Katalogs und den Datensilos in der Bibliothekslandschaft: Anmerkungen zu zwei Vorträgen von Stefan Gradmann.

The article discusses two lectures given by the German professor Stefan Gradmann at the 100th German librarians' retreat that took place in Berlin, Germany from June 7 to 10, 2011. The focus of the lectures was on the changes being made to the traditional responsibilities of librarians, the changes that have been made to the library cataloging process as a result of digitization, and why libraries should avoid using data silos (library catalogs that are available on the internet).
