Abstract

The article discusses a study concerning the treatments for the suppression of Mediterranean fruit fly, Ceratitis capitata and the oriental fruit fly, Bactrocera dorsalis in Kamuela, Hawaii. It is stated that sanitation, Naturalyte Fruit Fly Bait Sprays, male annihilation, Biolure traps and parasitoids were used for the suppression of both fruit flies. It further states that the release of sterile males against B. dorsalis was also effective in reducing fruit infestation levels.
