Abstract: Develops a model of irregular temporal change in seismic activity using data on acoustic emission in the process of metallic-specimen destruction. Variations of tectonic stress; Reduction in the plastically deformed volume and localization of the destruction; Relation between the development of the unstable brittle crack to a short-term lull.
