Paint the Other Cheek.

The article presents the opinion of the author on the 2012 debate within the Occupy protest movement as to whether or not the group should employ violent tactics in their protests. The author states that Occupy member Yates Mckee calls for a revolutionary movement based on the ideals of men such as Jesus Christ, Martin Luther King, and Gandhi. The author examines the Direct Action Working Group (DAWG) and the call by some people for a diversity of tactics approach to Occupy protests which includes violent actions. Opponents of the diversity of tactics approach are worried about how the violent behavior will reflect on the goals of the entire Occupy movement.
