Abstract: Discusses results of a study on the effects of the herbal plant Saint John's wort (SJW) on irinotecan metabolism in cancer patients. Patient characteristics; Percent decrease of plasma levels of irinotecan, a prodrug of SN-38; Advice that cancer patients taking irinotecan refrain from taking SJW.
