Abstract
- The article discusses a study which investigated the risk of misdiagnosis of asthma in obese patients. It identifies factors that increase the risk namely, impaired health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and increased body mass index (BMI). It explores the relationship between HRQoL and BMI and other measures of asthma severity in obese subjects. It concludes that there are instances of misdiagnosis in obese subjects.
