Abstract: The article presents a critical response to the featured essay "Liberalism After Liberalism," by Wilfred M. McClay, included within the issue. Introductory comments are given contextualizing McClay's initial arguments, restating his major points on the accomplishments and weaknesses of the political doctrine in U.S. society. Extensive discussion is then made relating the relationship between liberalism and Christian social thought.
