Abstract

Abstract: Ionization cross sections for Cu K-shell by positron impact in the energy range between 10 and 30keV have been calculated using the three-body classical trajectory Monte Carlo method and the binary encounter model. We have found that the classical treatment of the collision describes reasonably well the ionization cross sections measured recently. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
