Abstract
- The article discusses about the 2013 U.S. Air Force budget plan, which will reduce U.S. Air National Guard staff and aircraft. The plan will eliminate 5,100 airmen from service and decommission 139 airplanes, which triggered opposition from state governors because it will weaken the Air National Guard. The cuts will cover Air Guard aircraft including 15 C-27J Spartan air transports, 61 out of 100 A-10 fighter planes, and E-8C Joint STARS radar plane.
