Abstract
- The article presents a study which compares the risk of stent thrombosis between drug-eluting and bare-metal stents in the U.S. The study analyzes Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved stents such as cobalt-chromium everolimus-eluting stents (CoCr-EES), platinum-chromium EES (PtCr-EES) and phosphorylcholine-based zotarolimus-eluting stents (PC-ZES). It is found out that Co-Cr-EES shows that lowest rate of stent thrombosis after two years of implantation.
